If you didn’t believe the hype around hybrid cloud, CSC certainly does. The IT services giant is buying Servicemesh, a company that centralizes management of multiple clouds for enterprises that want to mix and match their cloud providers.
The acquisition, terms of which were not disclosed, shows how important the ability to use and manage cloud services from multiple vendors is becoming to IT buyers who don’t want to lock into one vendor and want to choose the best SaaS and IaaS solutions to meet their needs. And Servicemesh’s ability to provide that sort of converged management with the service levels IT buyers want could be a critical asset.
